Caroline Hopkins: Head of Women’s Empowerment and Leadership Development Initiatives for Optimal

Caroline is an accomplished international trainer, facilitator and professional coach with over 25 years of experience specialising in transformational personal and professional growth.

Nine years ago, Caroline and her family moved to South Africa from the US for only two year, or so they thought. As an expat readjusting, Caroline understands how tough it is to pivot your career and identity. Nine years later they are still here and she is happy to call Joburg home.

Brent Spilllkin

Brent has spent the last 20 odd years discovering what makes him happy, besides architecture, driving ambulances, pickling mango achaar, distribution and redeveloping the inner city.

He has helped over 150 advertising, media, marketing, PR, digital, branding and content businesses and their owners develop, manage crisis, strategize and flourish and has clients throughout South Africa, Israel, The United Kingdom and The United States.

Spillly has written a book ‘What The Freelance – a Mini MBA for the Creative and Digital Freelancer’ that is now lectured through Vega Schools.

Hannah Pirnie

Return to Work

A social entrepreneur on a mission to help women gain the skills needed to return to work. Hannah founded Translating Me, which offers career-focused training for women wanting to return to work through building digital skills and confidence.

Before moving to South Africa, Hannah spent 15 years working in professional sport supporting Professional Athletes with their own Personal Branding, and activating purposeful sponsorship campaigns. Hannah went on to win 4 national and 2 international awards for her culture change programme at Saracens, which laid the foundations for them becoming the best rugby club in the world.

In addition to Translating Me, Hannah is a digital strategist running social media accounts for small businesses with a clear purpose and facilitates in-house workshops for companies wanting to improve their internal communications and management of remote workers. Connect with Hannah here.
